What is the difference between ITI and Diploma?
ITI provides Industrial training and diploma course in Engineering Schools or Polytechnics provides Industrial education. As a part of training ITI gives more Importance on practical works. These practical works are technically termed as jobs. The basic foundation course is learnt and is applied in making different jobs in ITIs. Diploma course is higher than ITI course, Where the total tenure of course is 3 years. But in ITI maximum course period is 2 years. In some trades like Welder, Stenography, Dressmaking the course period is 1 year. Also after ITI one can enter into Diploma education getting 1 year relaxation by way of lateral entry.
What is the entry qualification for ITI Training?
The entry qualification for ITI training in the Engg. Trades is HSC pass except welder(HSC failed/8th standard pass) . The entry qualification to stenography, COPA and Dress Making trade is HSC pass.

What is ITI?
The full form of ITI is Industrial Training Institute. The very meaning of ITI is that it is a kind of Training Providing Institute in technical field catering the needs of Industries. The basic technology of Industry and its function is learnet in it is and ultimately after having training the passes out trainees are engaged to perform the basic works of technical field in the industry. So ITI training refers to such training to run the basic industrial units.
